Jordan Mandell as Martin
Jordan Mandell is a fine young actor and musician. Although The Mother Tree is his film acting debut,
he did appear in several school plays including: The Odd
Couple, Next Victim Please, and Lizard Gulch. He
does play the drums, and performs in the steel drum ensemble at
Sedona’s Red Rock High School where he also enjoys playing
football. He intends to continue acting throughout High School
and beyond. |

Astarius as Knowles
Astarius is a musician, poet, healer and
astrologer. He has been dedicated to spiritual work for more than
25 years. His music is created with the intention to uplift and
heal. He is an amazing performer on the didgeridoo with 8
CD’s available, plus he is a master at using the instrument for
healing. Drumming is another of Astarius’ talents and
his poetry points the way to the higher self. Astarius
makes his film acting debut in The Mother Tree. He embodies the
part of Knowles as if it were written for him and gives a captivating

JC Alvarez as Aunt Jenetta
The multi-talented JC Alvarez is not only a fine
actress, she’s also a jazz singer, a filmmaker, a playwright and
a fine swing dancer. She’s appeared in several
independent films and numerous plays including, Elaine in
Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The psychiatrist in Agnes of God, and Faye
in Chapter Two. She wrote, produced and edited and acted in
her own short film, Wakeup Call. And wrote, produced and
acted in a dinner theatre murder Mystery called, Murder: Take 1.
She’s currently completing her Doctorate in Educational
Adminstration from Northern Illinois University. |

Nicole Cushing as Sarah.
Although The Mother Tree is her film debut,
the lovely and talented Nicole Cushing spent a good portion
of her Sedona Red Rock High School years hanging around the
theatre department. She not only proved a valuable assistant for
her drama teacher, she also lit up the stage. Her roles
include: Sandy in Grease, Mammy Yokum in Lil’ Abner,
and Fastrada in Pippin. Nicole is currently honing her
acting skills at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
She plans to pursue a career as a professional actress. |

Nathaniel Waggoner as Woody
At 16 years old, Nathaniel Waggoner is already a
veteran actor. He’s performed in numerous school and
community theatre productions, including: Lil’ Abner,
Bo Decker in Bus Stop, and Lewis in Pippin.
He made his film acting debut in The Great Mudbug War
by James Anderson and continues his acting career with a fine
performance as Woody in The Mother Tree. Nathaniel has managed
an early graduation from High School and plans to pursue a career as a
professional actor. |

Evan Martinez as Dale
More than once on the set of The Mother Tree, Evan Martinez was compared to a young James Dean. Not a bad start for any performer. A natural actor, Evan has appeared in numerous High School and Community Theatre productions, including: Hamlet in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Eddie in The Sunshine Boys and Vince Fontaine in Grease. He plans to pursue a career as a professional actor and is currently studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
in New York. |

Sarah West as Marcella.
Sarah West is best known for her angelic voice which punctuates the soundtrack of The Mother Tree. Aptly cast as Martin’s mother Marcella, Sarah is as beautiful to watch as she is to listen too. She has performed world wide at conferences featuring such names as Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Lynne Andrews, and the Rev. Raymond Moody, she has acted in a several independent films and she is a magnificent dancer. Much of Sarah’s music is recorded live and is born from realms beyond this earth.
